Volunteers make our Online Auction happen! Each spring, PBS Wisconsin hosts its annual auction fundraiser. More than 800 businesses donate thousands of items that are sold online to raise funding that supports PBS Wisconsin’s programming and activities.

What type of auction jobs are available?
Did you know that it takes more than 100 volunteers to produce a successful online auction? Volunteer jobs include donation acquisition caller, scriptwriter, data entry, image search, and shipping.
Donation Acquisition Caller: The purpose of this position is to secure donations for the PBS Wisconsin Online Auction. Volunteers place courtesy calls to current, lapsed, and new business donors from across Wisconsin. Calling starts in December and runs through May at the auction office located in the Division of Extension Building at 432 N. Lake St. in Madison. Parking reimbursement is available for this volunteer position.
When and where is Auction held?
The 2022 Auction will take place online June 2-12. Volunteer support is needed from December through June in the areas of donation acquisition calling, data entry, scriptwriting, image search, and shipping. The Auction office is located inside the Extension Building, 432 N. Lake St., on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
Shifts are approximately three hours and include training.
Volunteers aged 16 and up may participate.
Currently, we have volunteer-from-home opportunities where you can create your own schedule as well as the daytime shifts available Monday through Friday at the Auction office on Lake St.
