About Confirmation Call Team
Call winning bidder of auction items, verify bidder information, inform winner of options for picking up and paying for item and complete information on bid slip.
Confirmation Call Team Job Duties
- Pick up a “to be confirmed” bid packet.
- Review auctioneer copy to determine how many items need to be confirmed.
- Place telephone call to winning bidder.
- Verify bidders name and address or Express Bid Number.
- Confirm auction item, description, winning bid amount and quantity desired.
- Determine whether bidder has been a successful bidder in current or past auctions.
- Inform bidder of options for picking up and paying for item including Pick up and Pay hours or options to have item mailed / shipped.
- Obtain credit card number from those bidders wishing to have item mailed / shipped.
- Answer winning bidder’s questions.
- Thank winning bidder for their support of WPT Auction.
- Leave appropriate message on voice mail or with another individual if not speaking to the winning bidder directly.
- Complete bid slip with winning bidder responses.
- Reassemble bid packet and place in appropriate basket for next step in process.
- Complete other duties as assigned by your captain.
- Direct questions to your captain as needed.
Confirmation Call Team Job Skills and Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience working with telephone.
- Clear telephone speaking voice.
- Good communication and pronunciation skills.
- Can work efficiently in a sometimes noisy and hectic environment.
- Ability to discern when to ask your captain for assistance.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Volunteers 16 and older may participate.
