Missed the Broadway or Bust premiere? Watch it online!

Last night, viewers stepped behind the footlights of the Broadway stage to see the process, passion and perseverance behind the nationwide National High School Musical Theater Awards on the premiere episode of Broadway or Bust. Among the 60 young performers vying for honors after a grueling performance bootcamp and trying coaching sessions were two representatives from Wisconsin. Sheridan Hearn from Edgewood High School and Sam Burns from Beloit Turner High School were both award-winners at this year’s Tommy Awards in Madison and gained the chance to head off to the Great White Way, where PBS film crews were ready to document the entire process. His writing and directing credits include “A Guy Thing” and “The Godfather of Green Bay.” Pete’s TV writing credits include “Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?” as Jeff Foxworthy’s writer/producer and the sports comedy show “Sports Soup.” Pete is married with two children and splits time between Los Angeles and the Midwest.

Samantha Nash

I’m a project manager at PBS Wisconsin, and formerly an associate editor at WisContext. When I’m not scouring the state for fun music and arts content, I’m usually being forced to go on a hike by my demanding border collie or being forced to read on the couch by my demanding cats.
