Polls anticipated realities throughout the fall election cycle. This morning I asked Marquette University pollster Charles Franklin (whose final surveys nearly nailed the Prez and Senate races) what he thinks is the post-election lesson of this season’s consistently reliable polls. “The super charged atmosphere gave more visibility to demonstrations that polls and the models based on their data deserve respect,” he said. “They just work.”
