Volunteering for Art Setup & Takedown at Garden & Landscape Expo

Garden & Landscape Expo is a community educational event and fundraiser hosted by PBS Wisconsin and the UW Horticulture Team. This three-day event celebrates the latest trends in gardening and landscaping with more than one hundred free educational seminars and demonstrations.

About Art Setup & Takedown

Assist in setting up the art exhibits. For this year's show, art exhibits include framed photographs and quilts.

Art Setup & Takedown Job Duties

  • Assist in displaying and taking down photographs, artwork and quilts in the art exhibit area on the show floor.

Art Setup & Takedown Job Skills and Requirements

  • Able to routinely lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Physically able to stand and circulate throughout the exhibit to move artwork into their assigned locations.
  • Ability to regularly reach your arms over your head to perform certain job duties.
  • Balance and agility to climb a step ladder
  • Know and follow safety practices regarding lifting and use of step ladder and other equipment.
  • Be able to read and interpret a basic map.
  • Ability to discern when to ask your captain for assistance.
  • Volunteers 18 and older may participate; volunteers 5’5” and taller are preferred.
