Making Masterpiece Book CoverWith all the success and popularity of Downton Abbey, it’s hard to believe Masterpiece Executive Producer Rebecca Eaton nearly passed on the series.

The success of Downton is just one in a number of dramatic events in Eaton’s 28-year career. In a recent interview with Canadian magazine Maclean’s, Eaton also dishes about her process for choosing the best in British drama, editing the episodes from 2 hours to their 90-minute timeslot on PBS, and the lot of British actors making to Hollywood.
