In a recent article in Boston Common Magazine, Masterpiece executive producer Rebecca Eaton boasts that Downton Abbey’s Lady Mary has risen to first among equals, meaning if anyone, Michelle Dockery is the brightest star among many.
So how is Dockery handling all the fame? Perfectly, I’d say. In the feature article, she carefully pays respect to the writers who have aided her success, she dishes about being star-struck all the time, and clearly illustrates that she’s indulging in all the fashion she can … why wouldn’t you?

Dockery’s star is only beginning to rise. Beyond Downton, she’s set to appear in the action film Non-Stop with stars Liam Neeson and Julian Moore, due in theaters in 2014.
Further commenting on Dockery’s role in the upcoming season, Eaton says, “Season four is really Michelle’s season.” It will be all eyes on newly widowed Lady Mary to see how she and the baby recover.
