The Mid-atlantic Region
Explores the historical figures, commerce, capital cities and points of interest in the Mid-Atlantic states. The first European settlers to explore this region were the English, Dutch and French in the early 1600s. These states were a battleground in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Its location along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes make this area a major seaport for the fishing industry and the importing and exporting of consumer goods. States covered in this program: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
