The Southeast Region
Explores the historical figures, commerce, capital cities and points of interest in the Southeastern states. This region was first explored by Europeans from Spain, France and Britain in the early 1500s. Many battles in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War were fought in the southeastern region. Its location along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico makes this region an important shipping area as well as a prime recreational destination. States covered in this program: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
