The Great Lakes Region
Studies the historical figures, commerce, capital cities and points of interest in the Great Lakes Region. The French were the first to explore this region in the early 1600s. The program explores how through the invention of the automobile, inventive use of the waterways, and imaginative agricultural methods, the Great Lakes Region has grown into one of the most important industrial locations in the world. States covered in this program: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
