The Pacific Region
Studies the historical figures, commerce, capital cities and points of interest in the Pacific Region. This region was first explored by the Spanish in the mid 1500s. The discovery of gold brought more settlers. In addition to finding the lowest and highest land elevations in the U.S in this region, volcanoes and earthquakes also originate throughout the area. States covered in this program: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
