Sue Denholm, Naturalist at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, shares the story of Moqua and Chief Woksis who, according to legend, were the first to discover that maple trees produced maple syrup. Denholm discusses how the Native Americans' process of making maple syrup laid the foundation for how we make syrup today.
