Using three real-life stories about young people, the sixth installment of democracy it is! focuses on the rights and responsibilities held by members of a democratic society. Voices Seldom Heard - Ashley Nelson is a 19 year-old author who wrote her first book, The Combination at 18. A resident of the 6th Ward in New Orleans, her neighborhood was almost deserted in the aftermath of Katrina.
