Italy: Paola and Her Piccolo
Twelve-year-old Paola lives on an island off the coast of Naples. She plays the piccolo (transverse flute) in her village band, along with her trumpet-playing brother. Her father is a fisherman; while he is away at sea, Paola gets busy rehearsing for the village parade.
