Family Kaleidoscope
While engaged in drawing family portraits, students in the Exploratorium learn that families come in all shapes and sizes. To learn more about the relationship between families and culture, they visit a family operating a small cheese factory, a family celebrating their Jewish faith, and a family from the Acoma reservation in New Mexico who are fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-generation potters.
