Herd About the Prairie
In 2005 Joe Halko of Choteau, Montana, created 8 foot-wide bison statue molds, weighing 100 pounds each. Forty artists were chosen by a jury to paint 39 full size bison and one calf. The decorativ bison made their formal debut in May of 2006 at the Fargo Marathon, and now they can be seen on WPT.
