Landscapes Through Time With David Dunlop

This lively and entertaining series explores moments in painting and art history in a unique format and offers an unrivaled blend of art, history, travel, science, philosophy and how-to technique. In each episode, noted painter and teacher David Dunlop travels to sites that were painted by celebrated artists in the U.S. and Europe, such as Monet's water lily garden in Giverny; Van Gogh's asylum in Provence; and Kaaterskill Falls, which was painted by the Hudson River painters. After discussing the history of the artist's work, Dunlop places his easel at the same place that the artists set their easels and paints that famous landscape himself in the same style.
