Landmarks of Westward Expansion

Landmarks of Westward Expansion

Beginning thousands of years ago in Asia, "Landmarks of Westward Expansion" travels the centuries-old paths of the people who helped shape the face of the Pacific Northwest. Filmed on location in Idaho, Oregon and Washington, the series combines history, geography and archeology to create a meaningful perspective for students. The series` teacher guide features the "Western Expansion Reader," a collection of stories, letters and diary entries written prior to the mid-1800s. The guide also includes a detailed textbook correlation chart and a bibliography, as well as pre-and post-viewing activities and reproducible work sheets.
