Widely acclaimed as the greatest architect of the 20th century, Frank Lloyd Wright was surrounded by controversy. His buildings were breathtakingly different, his reputation that of an eccentric. While living with a woman to whom he was not married, she and her children were murdered and his beloved home, Taliesin, was ravaged by fire. Now, 40 years after his death, his devoted admirers are many and his buildings remain as testaments to his consummate vision, skill and innovation. Uncommon Places contains footage of Fallingwater, Taliesin and Taliesin West, the Dana and Robie houses and the Unity Temple as well as Mr. Wright himself on the construction site of the Johnson Wax Building.
